Government and public works — the natural centre of the firm.

Government and public works are the natural centre of Shomax's story. Eng. Shoni founded the firm after senior service in Kenya's Ministry of Public Works, and the practice has continued to serve public bodies and institutional clients where engineering responsibility has to be explicit.

Shomax has signed structural and civil engineering for the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) Pensions Fund and the Ministry of Energy. Both commissions were delivered under the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015, which prescribes how national-government procurement, variations, payments, and audit records must be evidenced.
